Dansah Made It

Terms & Conditions

Last reviewed 5 August 2026.

These terms cover two things: using this website, and commissioning work from DMI Limited. Where a signed quotation or contract says something different, that document wins.

1. Who we are

DMI Limited, trading as Dansah Made It, of 29 Emerald Avenue, Mile 7, Accra, Ghana. Contact: contact@dansahmadeit.com, +233 500 722 175.

2. Using this website

  • The site is provided for information and for making enquiries. You may browse it and print pages for your own use.
  • All text, drawings, photographs, layout and code on this site belong to DMI or our licensors. Do not copy, republish or reuse them commercially without written permission.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with the site, submit malicious files, or use automated tools to harvest content or flood our forms.
  • We keep the site as accurate as we can, but specifications, lead times and images are indicative, not contractual.

3. Enquiries and quotations

  • No automatic pricing. Submitting a quote request through this website does not generate a price and does not create a contract. It is a request for us to prepare a quotation.
  • We may need a site survey before we can quote. Surveys are free within Greater Accra; outside it we charge travel, which is credited against the project if you proceed.
  • A written quotation is valid for 30 days from its date unless it says otherwise.
  • A quotation covers only what is itemised on it. Anything not listed is not included.
  • Prices assume the dimensions and conditions recorded at survey. If site conditions differ materially, we will tell you and re-quote before proceeding.

4. Orders, deposits and payment

  • A contract forms when you accept a quotation in writing and the deposit is received.
  • The deposit confirms the order and releases the job to the workshop. Nothing is cut before it clears.
  • The balance is payable in the stages set out on your quotation, with the final portion due at sign-off.
  • Title in the goods passes to you when payment is received in full. Risk passes on delivery.
  • We may suspend work on overdue accounts, and may charge interest on late payment at the rate stated on the quotation.

5. Drawings and approval

  • We issue scaled drawings and a specification for your approval. Manufacture begins only after you approve them in writing.
  • Approved drawings are the definitive description of what we will make. Please check dimensions, appliance models and finishes carefully.
  • Design drawings we prepare remain our intellectual property. You may use them for your project; you may not pass them to another manufacturer.

6. Changes and variations

  • Changes requested after approval are quoted before they are made, and may affect both price and programme.
  • Once materials are cut, cancellation or change may not be possible without cost. We will always tell you where the job has reached before you decide.
  • Nothing will appear on your final invoice that you have not agreed to in advance.

7. Lead times, delivery and installation

  • Lead times run from approval of drawings and receipt of the deposit, not from first contact. They are estimates given in good faith.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by matters outside our control, including supply shortages, utilities, transport, weather, or other trades on site.
  • You are responsible for providing safe, clear and reasonable access on the agreed installation date, including parking, lifts where applicable, power and water.
  • If we cannot install because the site is not ready or access is refused, a return visit may be chargeable.
  • Unless the quotation says otherwise, our scope does not include electrical, plumbing or gas connection, tiling, structural work, or making good to walls, floors and ceilings beyond our own fixings.

8. Materials and natural variation

  • Timber, veneer and stone are natural materials. Variation in grain, tone and pattern between samples, drawings and the finished piece is normal and is not a defect.
  • Colours shown on screens are indicative only. Final colour is agreed against physical samples.
  • Where you supply materials, appliances or sanitaryware, you are responsible for their suitability, condition and timely delivery. We are not liable for delays or defects arising from client-supplied items.

9. Guarantee

  • We guarantee our workmanship for twelve months from installation.
  • One free adjustment visit within the first year is included — doors and drawers settle, and we would rather set them properly than have you live with it.
  • Manufacturer warranties on hardware, appliances and worktops are passed through to you and are subject to their own terms.
  • The guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, accidental or water damage, alterations by others, or failure to follow our care instructions.

10. Care

We provide care guidance on handover. Ghana's humidity is hard on furniture: avoid standing water on joints and edges, wipe spills promptly, avoid abrasive cleaners on lacquered and high-gloss surfaces, and keep sustained direct heat away from worktops and timber.

11. Photography

We like to photograph completed work for our portfolio and social media. We will always ask first, we never publish your name or address without permission, and you may decline or withdraw permission at any time.

12. Liability

  • Our liability for any project is limited to the value of that contract.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, rental income or opportunity.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Complaints

Tell us in writing at contact@dansahmadeit.com. We acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve within fourteen. We would far rather hear a complaint than lose the chance to fix something.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction. We will always try to resolve a dispute by discussion first.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your project is the version in force on the date your quotation was issued.
