DMI Limited (“DMI”, “we”, “us”) operates dansahmadeit.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have written it in plain language on purpose.

For any question about this policy or about information we hold, write to us at the address above and mark it for the attention of the data contact.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address and telephone or WhatsApp number.
- The location of your project and the type of property.
- The details of your enquiry: product, preferences, measurements, materials, timing, indicative budget and any notes you write.
- Files you choose to upload — photographs, drawings or reference documents.
- Whether you consented to us replying to you.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address and browser user-agent, recorded with each form submission. We use these only to stop automated abuse and to enforce submission limits.
- Standard web-server access logs kept by our hosting provider.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we run no third-party analytics.
- We do not build behavioural profiles or track you across other websites.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies of its own. Two small pieces of data are kept in your own browser's session storage and never leave your device:
- A flag recording that you have seen the opening animation, so it does not replay on every page.
- A draft of any quote request you have started, so an accidental refresh does not lose your answers. It is cleared when you submit or close the tab.
The contact page embeds a Google Maps frame. If you interact with it, Google may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Nothing loads from Google until that part of the page is reached.
Why we use your information
- To answer you. Replying to an enquiry, arranging a survey, preparing and sending a quotation.
- To deliver work you commission. Designing, manufacturing, delivering and installing, and honouring the guarantee afterwards.
- To keep records. Quotations, invoices and project files, as any business must.
- To protect the website. Detecting and blocking automated abuse of our forms.
We rely on your consent for marketing contact such as the online-store waiting list, on the performance of a contract for work you commission, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering enquiries.
Who else sees it
Your information stays with DMI. It is shared only with:
- Our hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf in order to store the site and deliver mail.
- Suppliers or installers where a specific detail is genuinely needed to complete your project — a delivery address, for example. Never the whole file.
- A public authority, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Uploaded files: up to 24 months for unsuccessful enquiries; for the life of the project plus the guarantee period otherwise.
- Project and financial records: as long as tax and company law requires.
- Waiting-list details: until the store opens and we have written to you once, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Abuse-prevention logs: 24 hours.
How we protect it
- The site is served over HTTPS.
- Uploaded files are stored outside the publicly reachable part of the website, renamed, and cannot be downloaded by guessing an address.
- Forms are protected against cross-site request forgery and rate-limited against automated abuse.
- Access to submissions is limited to the people at DMI who need it.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affected your information we would tell you and the relevant authority promptly.
Your rights
Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you may ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete information we no longer need;
- stop using your details for marketing;
- restrict or object to a particular use.
Email contact@dansahmadeit.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
Children
This website is intended for adults commissioning furniture and interiors. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our social media links and, in future, our online store lead to services with their own privacy policies. This policy covers only this website.
Changes
If we change how the site handles information we will update this page and the review date at the top. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be notified by email.
